Brian and Mary Evans - Irish artists in Nottingham

Brian and Mary Evans are a well known Nottingham Irish couple, living on the outskirts of Nottingham. Each year they have an exhibition of their work prior and during the Nottingham City St Patrick’s Celebrations.

Brian and his wife Mary are associate members of the Nottingham Society of Artists and both work in watercolour oils and pastels.

Their work depicts the changing face of Ireland – its scenery history music and art with an overview of the humour and character of its people.

Community Connections

On a recent visit around the Council House and Mayor’s Parlour in Nottingham, Gerry is pictured showing the crystal vase gift from the Irish Community in Nottingham to the city of Nottingham. The vase was presented to the Lord Mayor ‘full of shamrock’ on St. Patrick’s Day. Next to the vase is a replica of the Robin Hood statue which is erected at Nottingham Castle.
